Parametric insurance specialist, AXA Climate, has appointed Toby Behrmann as Head of London Market & Private Public Partnerships, based in London.
In his new role, Behrmann will be tasked with utilising the power of the London Market to drive AXA Climate’s purpose to make regenerative business universal and the Private Public Partnership domain.
He will also provide consulting services to the agri-food, industrial, financial and public sectors to help with climate change and biodiversity loss, in a regenerative way.
AXA Climate uses satellite imagery to insure businesses and vulnerable people and provide financial support within hours when they suffer from extreme weather & natural hazards.
Behrmann commented, “I have always believed that risk transfer is a core component both for ensuring development and enabling growth from the individual, to the corporate, to the state, for the world. Now it’s time to take the next step and ensure we don’t just keep things as they are – we regenerate.”
Prior to this, Behrmann was Head of Partnerships and Business Development for six years at Global Parametrics, which was recently acquired by CelsiusPro.
He has also worked as the Global Head of Marketing and Distribution at Stonestep SA, where he was one of the founding members who raised $4 million of Series A investment from a major Insurtech VC.
Previously, Behrmann worked at FIAS International for 13 years in senior roles such as Director, Director of US Non-traditional distribution and Manager, International Direct Marketing, New Country Initiatives.
Behrmann started his career at AIG as an intern eventually climbing up to the role of an Account Manager, at UK A&H Marketing, London.
