AXA Investment Managers has appointed Tim Banks as its new sales director for UK institutional core clients.
The company said that Banks will be an additional resource to continue the growth of AXA IM’s business in the UK institutional market and harnessing AXA IM’s competitive edge in responsible and impact investing.
He will report to Rachel Basarab-Horwath, head of UK institutional sales, effective from 1 August 2022. He is joining the company from Mercer, where he was head of external sales for the UK investment solutions team.
Basarab-Horwath said: “I am pleased to welcome someone of Tim’s talent and experience to the team. He will be instrumental in the development of our UK institutional business and will provide a fresh perspective on our institutional offering to evolve and ensure we are meeting the ever changing needs of our clients.”
Banks said: “I’m excited to be joining the team at a pivotal time for pension schemes and insurers, to be able to provide a breadth of innovative and impactful solutions needed to meet emerging investment challenges.”
