AXA XL has appointed Diego Cerquenich as Senior Risk Consultant, Marine, UK & Lloyd’s, effective immediately.
He will report to Chris McGuire – Head of Risk Consulting, UK & Lloyd’s while also working closely with Pascal Matthey, Chief Risk Consulting Officer, Marine.
Within this role, Cerquenich will work with the Marine Underwriting team to further develop risk consultancy capabilities for clients and brokers.
As a Master Mariner, Cerquenich has a wide range of maritime and shipping knowledge, including command experience on dry bulk cargo vessels.
In 2014, he began to turn his skills towards marine consultancy, where he would focus on investigating naval accident/incident, marine advice and charter party disputes as an expert witness and marine warranty surveyor.

AXA XL and Howden CAP, part of Howden Broking, recently announced that they are collaborating to develop structured credit Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
Additionally, AXA XL recently hired three new colleagues for its Americas Marine Insurance business.
