AXA XL hires Snyder as VP, Senior Underwriter, Excess Casualty, Bermuda

AXA XL has appointed Christine Snyder to its Bermuda Insurance Excess Casualty team as Vice President, Senior Underwriter.

axa-logoWithin this role Snyder’s responsibilities will include delivering profitable underwriting service to clients, which will involve her developing and managing underwriting strategies for renewed and new business within AXA XL’s Excess Casualty portfolio, primarily within Energy, Construction and General Casualty accounts.

In addition, Snyder will also build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients, while identifying and establishing new distribution relationships.

Before joining AXA XL, Snyder held senior roles at global insurer, Chubb (formerly ACE), in her most recent role she served as Executive Underwriter, Excess Casualty Construction.

Within that role Snyder also served as the Construction Industry Practice Leader for the MidAtlantic Region.

Commenting on the appointment, Vivienne Moniz, Head of Excess Casualty, Bermuda, said: “Christine is a welcomed addition to our Excess Casualty team. Her construction industry knowledge, strategic marketing and underwriting experience in US metro hubs such as New York and the MidAtlantic region, and cultivated relationships with brokers on the US East Coast will further enhance our service to clients and broker partnerships.”
