AXA XL names Claudia Ingenhoven as CFO, Reinsurance

AXA XL Reinsurance has announced the appointment of Claudia Ingenhoven as Chief Financial Officer, Reinsurance, effective 13 February 2023.

axaxl-axa-xl-logoIngenhoven has extensive experience working within finance functions at a number of leading re/insurers. These former executive positions include CEO of Glacier Reinsurance (Catalina) and CFO of iptiQ
EMEA P&C (Swiss Re).

Ingenhoven has also spent time working within the AXA group as an Executive Committee and Board Member of AXA Liabilities Managers across a wide number of different jurisdictions including France, Germany, Malaysia, Switzerland, UAE, the UK and the USA.

In addition, she holds a Certificate of Corporate Finance from the University of Zurich, Switzerland as well as a degree in Economics from the Gerhard-Mercator University in Germany.

AXA XL Reinsurance CEO Nancy Bewlay commented on the appointment, stating, “With her Executive experience, knowledge of the AXA group, global expertise and financial background, Claudia will be an asset to our business.

AXA Xl has made a series of senior appointments at the end of this year, most recently promoting Meredith Baron to lead its controlled insurance program business within the firms North America construction division.

At the beginning of December, Laura Casby was promoted to head of upstream energy for the UK and Lloyd’s, while Kareen Richardson was promoted to the role of head of healthcare in its Bermuda office.

In November, AXA XL announced the additions of Rana Gillmon as Senior Client Relationship Leader and Allan Jackson as Client Relationship Leader, and named Vanessa Leemans as Head of Cyber, UK & Lloyd’s.

Earlier that month, the company’s Professional Liability team expanded its regional underwriting management structure by promoting five to Region Leader positions.
