In a strategic move aimed at elevating client experience and strengthening engagement, AXA XL has appointed Manuel Meier as Chief Client Officer (CCO).
The newly created role within the AXA XL Leadership team emphasises the company’s commitment to its clients and their evolving needs.
In his capacity as CCO, Meier will report directly to CEO Scott Gunter, becoming the voice of AXA XL’s clients.
His primary responsibilities include cultivating long-term partnerships with strategic market partners and various AXA XL Business Units, with a strong focus on leveraging AXA XL’s technical expertise to develop data-driven innovative solutions.
One of Meier’s key roles will be overseeing the Digital Commercial Platform (DCP), a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing AXA’s value proposition, particularly in the realms of protection and prevention services.
He will also collaborate closely with AXA XL’s Risk Consulting solutions team to ensure comprehensive client support.
Scott Gunter, CEO of AXA XL, expressed the company’s vision for this appointment, stating, “Today, our clients look to us to provide more than traditional risk transfer – they are seeking a partner to provide the insights
and services that will help them to navigate emerging and evolving risks.”
Gunter further emphasised the importance of combining risk engineering expertise with tech and data capabilities, placing the client at the center of their business approach.
Meier brings a wealth of industry experience to his new role, boasting over 20 years in the global insurance industry. His previous roles at AXA XL, including Chief Transformation Officer and Country Manager for AXA XL in Switzerland, have equipped him with valuable insights into client-facing operations.
Meier’s career trajectory, which began as a broker and later encompassed leadership roles at Zurich Insurance across Europe and the US, positions him as an ideal fit for this pivotal position.
