Bermudian re/insurance group AXIS Capital Holdings has announced the appointment of Keith Schlosser as Chief Information Officer.
Schlosser joins AXIS from Chubb, where he spent the previous seven years as Chief Information Officer for the company’s Overseas General Insurance division, leading a number of growth and digital initiatives.
He has 30 years of re/insurance industry experience spanning roles in information technology, business solutions, marketing and sales.
In his new role, Schlosser will be tasked with leading AXIS’ global information technology strategy, partnering with its insurance and reinsurance business segments and other departments to drive change and deliver high-quality IT services.
He will report to Richard Strachan, AXIS Capital’s Chief Operations Officer, who commented: “Keith is a proven CIO with an accomplished career in which he has consistently driven technology enablement within top global insurance companies.”
“As digital capabilities and new ways of working reshape our industry, Keith will lead the advancement of our IT capabilities to ensure we are aligned with the changing expectations of our internal and external customers,” Strachan continued.
Prior to Chubb, Schlosser was a senior IT leader at The Travelers Companies and served as Chief Information Officer of the insurer’s international division from 2009 to 2011.
Schlosser also previously served as a Vice President for marketing technology and web communications at American International Group (AIG).
This announcement follows the appointment of Govind Balu as Chief Analytics Officer at AXIS last week, who joined the company from Allstate Roadside Services.
