Insurer and reinsurer AXIS Capital has announced the appointment of Emilia Siravo as Head of Ceded Re, North America.
In her new role, Siravo will drive the firm’s North America Ceded Re strategy and execution, contributing to the development of the company’s gross and net portfolio.
Siravo joined AXIS following more than six years at Swiss Re, where she most recently served as Head of IGR Process and Management following her role as Transfer Pricing Manager.
Before that, she served as a Catastrophe Modeler at reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter for two years. Prior to her time at Guy Carpenter, Siravo worked as a Senior Underwriter at Swiss Re for six years.
Siravo’s appointment is one of AXIS most recent leadership moves. Towards the end of last year, the firm announced new leadership appointments for its Irish legal entities, AXIS Re SE and AXIS Specialty Europe SE.
