AXIS Reinsurance, the reinsurance business segment of AXIS Capital Holdings, has appointed Jessica Coburn as Reinsurance Underwriting Head, Canada, effective immediately.
In the role, she will report to AXIS Re President, North America, Jason Busti.
She is expected to be responsible for representing AXIS Re across the Canadian market, as well as playing a key role in driving the growth of the Canadian reinsurance portfolio for the company.
Coburn joins the firm following a three year stint at Guy Carpenter, where she served as Vice President, Treaty Reinsurance Broker.
Prior to that, she spent over eight years working at Gen Re, where she held the role of Assistant Vice President, Senior Casualty Facultative Underwriter.
Further, she also previously served as a Sales & Operations Manager at D.I.S. Financial Group, a full service Financial Planning and Insurance Brokerage firm.
In addition, Coburn is also a Director/Board member of the Young Insurance Professionals of Toronto (YIPT).
