AXIS Re, the reinsurance business segment of AXIS Capital, has announced the addition of two new underwriters.
Joachim Johansson joins as a Casualty Underwriter for its Europe, the Middle East and Africa Latin American team.
He joins from Zurich, where he served as an MGA Actuary, and brings close to 20 years worth of experience to the role.
Matthew Trinkle joins as an Underwriter for Casualty and Alternative Risk for AXIS Re’s North America team, and is based in New York.
He will also serve as a Vice President for AXIS Capital.
Trinkle joins from Transatlantic Reinsurance Company, having most recently served as an Assistant Vice President.
