The 2021 meeting of the reinsurance industry in Baden-Baden, Germany, is scheduled to go ahead in-person after a one year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision by the advisory council for the organisation of the Baden-Baden reinsurance industry event comes roughly three months after the annual Rendez-Vous de Septembre (RVS) in Monte Carlo was cancelled for a second year.
According to organisers, the actual and further ongoing progress of vaccination and other measures have resulted in continuously decreasing incidence rates.
“The current likelihood of a further decrease and a sustainable low level of these rates lays the foundations to conduct an industry meeting in physical presence in October,” explained the statement.
For this year’s event, all appropriate organisational and safety measures will be taken, and the number of registrations will be carefully monitored and potentially limited.
For delegates, registrations for the 2021 Baden-Baden reinsurance meeting commence in July. Organisers note that all hotels and partners have been informed about the decision to hold the 2021 event in-person.
