Guy Carpenter, the reinsurance broking arm of Marsh, has announced the appointment of Benjamin Keslowitz to the newly created role of US Life Leader, effective immediately.
In his new role, Keslowitz will have a focus on delivering the full range of Guy Carpenter’s risk and capital solutions to clients and prospects in the life insurance and reinsurance segments, including strategic advisory and ratings advisory support, alongside providing capital solutions via GC Securities.
He will be expected to utilise his expertise to assist clients in the evaluation and execution of structured life and annuity reinsurance transactions.
The appointment of Keslowitz is the latest strategic investment made by Guy Carpenter as it continues to look to strengthen its position in the life reinsurance space.
Prior to Guy Carpenter, Keslowitz served as President of a life and annuity actuarial and consulting practice. During his career, he has held numerous actuarial and strategic positions, including Senior Vice President and Head of Long-Term Life Reinsurance at Sirius Group, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Head Actuary at a Bermuda/Cayman reinsurer, and Vice President at Prudential Financial. He is also the co-founder of Converge Re II, a Puerto Rico-based reinsurance firm.
In his newly created role, he will be based in New York and will report to Ed Hochberg, Managing Director and Head of Global Risk Solutions at Guy Carpenter and David Rains, Managing Director and Head of the Life, Accident and Health segment at Guy Carpenter.
