BF&M Limited, the Bermuda-based re/insurance holding company, has appointed Lily Chen as its new Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Chen joins BF&M from Berkshire Hathaway Group, where she most recently served as Divisional CFO and Chief Administrative Officer for the company’s Reinsurance Division.
In this role, she was responsible for leading the finance, reinsurance administration and client audit functions of the reinsurance division.
This included overseeing Berkshire Hathaway’s reinsurance businesses in the US, Canada, UK, Europe, the Asia Pacific region and the Caribbean.
Prior to this, Chen held leadership positions with Aviva Canada, ING Insurance Asia/Pacific and Marsh.
John Wight, Board Chairman and CEO at BF&M, commented on the appointment: “Lily brings over 20 years of experience of finance, strategic and operational leadership in a global finance function.”
