Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), the property & casualty insurer, is expanding its global marine capabilities in the US by launching Ocean Marine Insurance.
The firm has also appointed Ben Wyatt as Head of Marine, and Chris Frick as Head of Marine Claims, in the US.
As well as this, BHSI has also announced that it will be introducing enhanced Inland Marine offerings for US customers in the construction, transportation and specialty segments.
In addition, BHSI’s Ocean and Inland Marine coverages worldwide are tailored for midmarket and large, risk managed customers.
Meanwhile, Wyatt joins BHSI with more than 10 years of experience in marine insurance. Most recently he served as Head of Cargo at another insurer. In his new role, he will be based in New York.
At the same time, Frick boasts more than 30 years of insurance industry experience.
Most recently, he spent 16 years in various leadership positions in marine claims at another major insurer. In his new role, he will also be based in New York.
