Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has announced the promotion of Jessica Kirby to Country Manager, UK, succeeding Nick Major, who is retiring from the company and the London Market.
Kirby, who will be based in London, brings nearly two decades of experience focused on the UK and London markets and deep financial lines expertise.
She has been part of BHSI since 2018, when she joined the company as Senior Underwriter, Commercial D&O. She was later appointed Head of Commercial Management Liability, UK before moving on to becoming Head of Executive and Professional Lines, UK, her most recent position.
Chris Nixon, who has more than 12 years of industry experience, will be succeeding Kirby as Head of Executive & Professional Lines in the UK.
Nixon joined BHSI in 2019 and was most recently Underwriting Manager, E&P Lines.
