Bishop Street Underwriters, a RedBird Capital Partners portfolio company, has promoted John Inwood as the Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO), United Kingdom (UK), subject to regulatory approval.
In his new role, Inwood will oversee Bishop Street’s underwriting strategy across its UK footprint, encompassing the operations of Avid Insurance and Landmark Underwriting.
Most recently, he spent five years as Chief Underwriting Officer at Avid Insurance, responsible for implementing the underwriting standards, portfolio discipline, and cultivating carrier relationships.
Inwood has over 35 years of industry expertise and will focus on driving Bishop Street’s continued growth in the region, prioritising disciplined risk management, developing critical partnerships, and supporting the firm’s underwriting talent.
