Blenheim adds specialty reinsurance division with hire of Cutts from Talbot

Blenheim Syndicate 5886 at Lloyd’s of London has announced the launch of a specialty reinsurance division, with the hiring of John Cutts from Talbot.

Blenheim Syndicate 5886Blenheim was launched by ex-Cathedral syndicate founders Peter Scales and John Lynch, and has an underwriting team largely hailing from that syndicate, which was bought by Lancashire Holdings.

John Cutts has been hired to develop the specialty reinsurance offering and will take up the new role in 2018 once his responsibilities at Talbot Underwriting are completed.

Cutts has successfully traded at Lloyd’s for the past 17 years, and served as head of treaty underwriting for Syndicate 1183 for more than ten years.

Blenheim syndicate 5886 commenced underwriting at the beginning of 2017 and is managed by Asta.
