Blenheim Syndicate 5886 at Lloyd’s of London has announced an increase in capacity to £250 million for 2020, as well as the addition of Simon Anthony to its property team.
Asta-backed Blenheim Syndicate 5886 commenced underwriting from Jan 1st, 2017 with underwriting capacity of £150 million. For next year, the syndicate has announced a 16% rise in capacity from £215 million to £250 million, writing property treaty, direct property, specialty reinsurance, contingency, and A&H classes.
In addition, Blenheim has hired Anthony from WRB Underwriting to write direct & facultative (D&F) business. He starts his new role in 2020 and will work alongside Simon King, head of property, and Nick Adams, property underwriter.
While at WRB Underwriting, Anthony served as head of property since 2015, having joined the firm as an underwriter in 2012. He started his career in the industry in 2004 as a property underwriter at MSF Pritchard.
