Brit Global Specialty USA (BGSU), a division of Brit Ltd, has announced the appointment of both Marc Robinson and Yasuaki Saegusa to its Marine business, effective February 5th, 2018.
Robinson joins the firm from Falvey Yacht Insurance, where he was the lead underwriter on all new and renewal business for yachts up to $20 million.
He joins BGSU as Assistant Vice President (AVP), and will be responsible for the underwriting of the company’s expanding yacht portfolio. Based in the firm’s Hartford, Connecticut office, Robinson will report to Craig McGinnes, Vice President, Yacht at BGSU.
Saegusa joins the firm from AIG where he managed their Marine offering in Western North America and was also the Lead Cargo Underwriter. He joins the firm as Vice President, Cargo, and will be based in the firm’s Newport Beach, California office, reporting to William Frohne, Vice President, Cargo at BGSU.
The new appointments come after BGSU launched its marine business in 2016, and are part of Brit’s strategy to expand its presence in the Americas with a focus on specialty solutions.
