Burns & Wilcox appoints MD for Boston office amid northeast expansion

Wholesale insurance brokerage and underwriter, Burns & Wilcox, has opened its new Boston office, subsequently appointing Peter Kestenbaum as the Managing Director.

burns-and-wilcox-logo-newKestenbaum will report to Doug Legters, Regional Vice President, Northeast. Legters joined the company in 2023 as part of a targeted effort to drive regional growth.

Kestenbaum is a market veteran who has an expansive career of nearly 20 years, with organisations like Marsh, Lexington and AIG under his belt.

He has deep expertise in the Excess & Surplus space. Previously, Kestenbaum managed a substantial book of business for Vault as its underwriting leader of the Northeast.

This hire follows the appointment of Andy Wood as Vice President and Practice Group Leader, Professional Liability.
