Wholesale insurance brokerage and underwriter, Burns & Wilcox, has opened its new Boston office, subsequently appointing Peter Kestenbaum as the Managing Director.
Kestenbaum will report to Doug Legters, Regional Vice President, Northeast. Legters joined the company in 2023 as part of a targeted effort to drive regional growth.

Kestenbaum is a market veteran who has an expansive career of nearly 20 years, with organisations like Marsh, Lexington and AIG under his belt.
He has deep expertise in the Excess & Surplus space. Previously, Kestenbaum managed a substantial book of business for Vault as its underwriting leader of the Northeast.

This hire follows the appointment of Andy Wood as Vice President and Practice Group Leader, Professional Liability.
