Specialty re/insurance group Chaucer has appointed Ben Sheppard as Class Underwriter to join their recently created Renewable Power team, led by Lyndsey Picton.
Sheppard’s appointment supports Chaucer’s commitment to the Renewable Energy sector, by providing dedicated resource to help build their offshore energy proposition supporting insureds to successfully deliver sustainable power technologies.
Sheppard is a knowledgeable insurance professional with over 19 years of experience within the industry.
He joins Chaucer from Argenta Private Capital, prior to this he served at Aon and Marsh where he played a key role in developing and placing renewable energy business for companies delivering commercial offshore wind projects.
Addressing his new role at Chaucer, Sheppard said: “I am delighted to be joining Chaucer. As the renewable energy market continues to evolve, I look forward to playing a key role in developing and delivering valuable insurance solutions for our clients and brokers”.
