Hamilton Insurance Group has appointed Christopher R. Stella as Chief Claims Officer of Hamilton Select, its primary carrier for domestically placed US excess and surplus (E&S) business.
Stella holds over 20 years of property and casualty claims experience, having spent over 18 years with Chubb, serving in a series of claims leadership positions of increasing responsibility.
Most recently, he served as Head of Property and Casualty Claims for Westchester, Chubb’s E&S division.
Earlier in his career, Stella held environmental claims and compliance leadership roles with several companies, including AIG.
In his new role, he will be based remotely in the United States and is tasked with leading Hamilton Select’s claims organisation.
