Chubb names Mason as Executive Vice President, Casualty for Overseas General Insurance

Chubb, a global property and casualty insurer, has announced the appointment of Adam Mason as Executive Vice President, Casualty for Overseas General Insurance.

ChubbCurrently serving as the Deputy Head of Casualty for the business, Mason will assume his new role effective June 1, 2023.

In his new position, Mason will be responsible for the growth and profitability of Chubb’s casualty lines in 51 countries and territories outside North America.

Mark Homan, Division President, International Property and Casualty, will continue to oversee Mason’s work, following his recent appointment.

Homan expressed his confidence in Mason, stating, “Over two decades at Chubb, Adam has built a strong reputation as a technical underwriter and experienced multinational executive.”

“As Deputy Head and Chief Underwriting Officer for our international Casualty business, Adam has been instrumental in driving the growth and profitability of our portfolio across all regions. We’re pleased to welcome this experienced leader and manager to this important role,” Homan added.

With over 30 years of industry experience, Mason has a proven track record in the insurance sector. He initially joined the company, then known as ACE, in 2002, where he worked in the UK and Ireland for both the multinational retail and international wholesale casualty underwriting teams.

Mason became part of Chubb’s casualty business in 2011. Before that, he worked as an Assistant Underwriter at Independent Insurance and later as a Casualty Underwriter at CNA.
