Clyde & Co adds Estelle Machell to casualty insurance team

Global law firm Clyde & Co has announced the appointment of Estelle Machell as a partner in its casualty insurance team.

Clyde & CoMachell most recently worked at Keoghs, but previously spent nine years at Clyde & Co before leaving in 2013.

She specialises in large loss catastrophic injury and major bodily cases, and her experience includes motor claims, employers’ liability, public liability and agricultural claims, as well as indemnity issues.

Going forward, Machell will form part of Clyde & Co’s Manchester-based personal injury defendant team working on catastrophic injury and major bodily injury matters.

“Estelle is widely recognised as a market leader in the defendant personal injury space, having developed a strong profile and thriving practice in recent years,” said Chris Murray, Partner at Clyde & Co.

“She brings experience of handling a complex caseload and expertise in claims of utmost severity, which will further strengthen the Casualty group’s capabilities in this space,” Murray continued. “We are delighted to welcome her back to the team.”

Clyde & Co’s UK casualty practice consists of more than 40 partners across ten offices, and provides a range of casualty expertise, from volume claims through to complex liability cases.
