Scott Lindquist is set to replace Larry Haefner as CNA’s new Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), reporting to Dino E. Robusto, the company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Lindquist joins the firm on January 10, 2022, and takes on duties as CFO after the filing of CNA’s 2021 annual report.
To ensure a smooth transition, Lindquist will work with Haefner, who has served as interim CFO since September, through the first quarter of 2022.
Most recently, Lindquist served as the CFO of Farmers Group, Inc., where he was responsible for planning, controllership, capital management, treasury, tax, actuarial, reinsurance, M&A, and investments.
Earlier in his career, he served as the Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at Genworth Financial, and Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Accounting Officer at The Phoenix Companies, Inc.
Robusto commented: “Scott brings three decades of finance and leadership experience to this role.
“In addition, he has a proven track record as a Chief Financial Officer of driving strategy, execution and disciplined governance with his deep knowledge of the P&C industry.”
CNA has also announced the appointment of Amy Smith as its new Chief Accounting Officer, reporting to Lindquist. Previously, she served as the firm’s Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller.
