David Payne has joined Cobbs Allen from JLT US as the firm continues to expand its insurance brokerage team.
He is set to join the company’s leadership team that is building a national specialty platform dedicated to providing complex risk solutions for corporate and private equity clients.
Most recently, Payne served as Chief Revenue Officer at JLT US, where he was tasked with leading client and prospect initiatives for an expanding U.S. market brokerage. Previously, Payne was the leader of Aon’s U.S. risk sales platform, and he brings extensive experience in the U.S. brokerage sector to Cobbs Allen.
Paul Sparks, a recently appointed member of the company’s leadership team, commented: “David’s appointment to this position is incredibly exciting. Cobbs Allen states that the new venture will combine structured solutions capabilities with insurance brokerage services, designed to provide clients with more alternatives, leveraging risk-taking capacity from both the insurance and private capital markets.
The new company will be private and majority-controlled by employees. The firm says to expect further announcements regarding both new appointments and details about the actual platform in the coming weeks.
