Colonial Surety Company, a direct and digital insurer, has announced the appointment of Kevin Grzelak as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), where he will lead strategic expansion initiatives.
In his new role, Grzelak assumes responsibility for assembling a talented financial team and formulating a comprehensive strategy for exploring potential acquisitions and partnerships.
He will also lead capital restructuring designed to support the business’ long-term and short-term goals. Additionally, Grzelak will have oversight of all Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and statutory reporting functions, as well as managing reinsurance agreements.
Grzelak is a market veteran with over two decades of expertise in the financial services and property and casualty insurance sectors.
Prior to this, he held the role of CFO for U.S. Insurance and Holding Companies at Bermuda-based re/insurer SiriusPoint, where he played a pivotal role in preparing the company for the transition to public status.
