Courtney Mocio named Vice President of Brit USA Cyber & Technology

Brit has named Courtney Mocio as Vice President of Cyber & Technology at Brit Global Specialty USA (“BGSU”) with effect from 17 October 2017.

Cyber security imageShe joins BGSU from Nationwide Insurance (Freedom Specialty) where she spent the last five years writing a book of cyber, technology and professional business.

In her BSCU New York role, Mocio will assume leadership for developing and growing Brit’s U.S. Cyber & Technology portfolio in the US, reporting to Michael Carr, Senior Vice President for Cyber.

“Courtney brings with her both excellent technical knowledge and a number of strong relationships within the broking community, which will be invaluable as we grow our existing distribution network.”

Prior to Nationwide Insurance, Mocio held the position of Executive Underwriter at Hartford Financial Products where she underwrote cyber, management liability and E&O business.

The announcement follows the appointment of Michael Carr earlier in 2017 to lead Brit’s US- based Cyber and Technology team.
