Law firm DAC Beachcroft has opened a new office in Paris that will focus on both the global and domestic insurance and industrial risks sector.
The office is DAC Beachcroft’s first in France, and continues the expansion of the company’s international presence.
Partners Vladimir Rostan d’Ancezune and Christophe Wucher North have been appointed to lead the Parisian team, arriving from regional insurance firm HMN.
d’Ancezune and Wucher North bring extensive experience in this specialist market and have previously worked across the UK, Spain, Germany, Latin America, Australia, the U.S and Singapore.
“This is an exciting development, part of our international strategy to grow our footprint in strategically significant centres and continue to strengthen the international support we offer our clients,” said David Pollitt, Managing Partner at DAC Beachcroft.
“Paris is an important hub for international insurance work, as well as gateway into the strong domestic market,” he continued. “Our ambition is to be the leading provider of insurance legal advice in France.”
The new office grows DAC Beachcroft’s existing international operations, which already consist of 11 locations in the UK, as well as offices in Ireland, Spain, the U.S, Singapore, Mexico, Columbia and Chile.
The firm is also a founding member of Legalign Global, a closely integrated alliance of four multi-national law firms with 60 offices across the globe.
Gustavo Blanco, DAC Beachcroft’s International Development Director, commented on the announcement: “Our clients, world-leading insurance companies and large corporates, will have immediate access through our Paris office to the rest of our network of offices, associated firms and Legalign Global.
“Vladimir and Christophe have a portfolio of work that aligns closely with the breadth and depth of the firm’s Insurance practice and we are delighted to welcome them to DAC Beachcroft.”
d’Ancezune added: “Opening a DAC Beachcroft office in Paris is such an exciting step which is a natural and complementary addition to DAC Beachcroft’s existing offering.
“It will enable us to provide a wide range of services to the French market, which is one of the most active in Europe, for domestic and international matters, and to address foreign clients’ needs in France. Having lawyers admitted at various European Bars, in the US and LatAm, DAC Beachcroft France is able to give full support to our clients’ needs.”
