Legacy acquirer, DARAG Group, has appointed Laura Pearson as head of M&A for the UK, effective February 1, 2023.
Pearson joins DARAG from PwC UK, where she has held a number of roles, with her most recent one being as Senior manager in PwC’s Deals Advisory team based in London.
Additionally, she also spent almost two years with PwC Bermuda as Senior Associate, Assurance, re/insurance.
At PwC she focused on run-off solutions and has been involved in a wide range of projects including legacy M&A transactions, multinational strategic exit reviews, Insurance Business Transfers and commercial due diligence for investors in the legacy sector.
Commenting on Pearson’s appointment, Alexander Roth, CEO of DARAG Europe and Global Head of M&A, said: “Laura is very well known in the legacy space and has an in-depth understanding of the market.
“Her many and varied connections within the London market will be invaluable to us as we further expand our UK deal generation and business development efforts. We are delighted that she has chosen to join us at DARAG, and I look forward to working with her.”
Pearson has been one of DARAG’s most recent appointments following Till Mathis Wagner’s as head of Mergers and Acquisitions in Europe.
Joining from Guy Carpenter Wagner is to start his new role in the first quarter of 2023.
