Zurich-based Echo Reinsurance Limited (Echo Re) has announced that Denis Haenzi is retiring this month after more than 10 years at the company.
During his tenure, Haenzi played a major role in the MENA Underwriting team at Echo Re.
In this role, he actively supervised the French-speaking African markets, including Maghreb.
He also made contributions to various other internal areas at Echo Re, including claims management and technical support.
All future underwriting activities for Maghreb will remain under the responsibilities of the MENA Region team going forward.
This team continues to be led by regional manager Sezi Meric, who is to be supported by a new and extended underwriting team, Echo Re added.
Haenzi’s last working day at Echo Re will end on January 13, 2020.
