Deutsche Bank hires Meir Lewis as MD & Head of Insurance Investment Banking

Deutsche Bank has hired Meir Lewis from Morgan Stanley as a Managing Director and Head of Insurance Investment Banking.

Deutsche Bank logoPrior to his appointment Lewis served Morgan Stanley’s North America Insurance sector providing investment banking coverage that focused on large-cap P&C carriers, specialty mid-cap companies, and life and reinsurance clients.

Lewis will be based in New York and will report to Co-Head of Global FIG, Celeste Guth.

Guth said; “we continue to invest in our FIG platform and the addition of Meir will help further strengthen the strategic advice we provide to clients in the insurance sector.”

“We see significant opportunity for our firm and our clients as they adapt to the global transformation taking place in the industry.”

Lewis first started his carer at Citi, working for 10 years from Tel Aviv and New York.

He gained a BA in Mathematics from Yeshiva University and is a CFA Charterholder.

Lewis’ appointment is the fourth Deutsche Bank Managing Director hire for its FIG platform since the start of 2017.
