Starr Insurance Companies has announced that Dr. Haoming Zhou has been appointed General Manager and President of its Starr China Property and Casualty Insurance Ltd. subsidiary, effective September 2nd, 2019.
Zhou brings over two decades of insurance industry experience to the role, and before Starr, has worked in Singapore, Sydney, Hong Kong and Shanghai in numerous senior management roles.
He will be based in Shanghai and his appointment remains subject to regulatory approval by the CBIRC.
“China is one of the world’s most dynamic economies. Our company was founded there 100 years ago. Today, China is one of our most important markets.
“With all of his experience and expertise in the region, Haoming adds greatly to our ability to serve that market,” said Maurice Greenberg, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
