Dr. Mitchell-Wallace to leave SCOR for Lloyd’s Head of Risk Aggregation role

The specialist Lloyd’s of London insurance and reinsurance marketplace has named Dr. Kirsten Mitchell-Wallace as its new Head of Risk Aggregation, reporting to Jon Hancock, Director of Performance Management.

Dr. Kirsten Mitchell-WallaceDr. Mitchell-Wallace will join Lloyd’s from global insurer and reinsurer SCOR, where she is currently EMEA Regional Head for Catastrophe Management, based in Zurich. Prior to SCOR, she worked at insurance and reinsurance brokerage Willis, and has also worked for catastrophe risk modeller, RMS, as a Senior Hazard Analyst.

Dr. Mitchell-Wallace also co-authored “Natural Catastrophe Risk Management and Modelling – A Practitioner’s Guide.”

Hancock, commented; “Kirsten will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to Lloyd’s garnered across the globe from insurance carriers, broker and modeller, and is a great addition to my senior leadership team. I am delighted that we have been able to attract someone of her calibre and deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities the team will be facing on a daily basis.

Dr. Mitchell-Wallace is expected to take up the new position at Lloyd’s before the end of 2017, and until her appointment, David Clouston will remain as interim Head of Risk Aggregation.
