DXC Technology, an independent end-to-end IT services company, has announced the appointment of David Gittings as non-executive director of Ins-sure Services (XIS), effective immediately.
Gittings served previously as the Chief Executive Officer of the London Market Association (LMA).
In his independent role at XIS, DXC says he will be an advocate for future market modernisation and the ongoing development of Lloyd’s and London at the forefront of the global insurance industry.
“We are heavily invested in and committed to our London market business, and I’m delighted that David is retaining his involvement with XIS to drive this even further forward,” said John Taylor, account general manager, DXC London Insurance Market.
“David has already provided significant guidance to XIS, and I know his insights, network and independence will prove to be a huge asset to our business.”
Commenting on his appointment, Gittings said, “I am delighted to become an independent non-executive director of XIS at this critical time in the market’s development.”
“Like me, DXC Technology is fully committed to progress via the provision of outstanding services to its clients in London.
“The London market faces challenging cost and competitive pressures, and I’m confident that by working in partnership with the market associations and DXC, XIS will play a crucial role in offering creative solutions to drive future market modernisation.”
