Reinsurer and specialty broker Ed has bolstered its reinsurance division with the appointment of Ian Wicks as chairman of non-marine reinsurance, who joins from Willis Re.
Wicks will take up his role with immediate effect, reporting to Kieran Angelini-Hurl, CEO of Ed’s reinsurance division.

Wicks brings 40 years of industry experience and leadership experience in various executive roles including his most recent role as executive director for the Willis Re casualty division, and director of broking house Harman Wicks & Swayne Ltd, which he co-founded.
He joined the JLT Re Executive committee after JLT acquired Harman Wicks & Swayne in 2008 where he was appointed to joint head of non-marine and was also responsible for managing the London-based casualty treaty team.
He began his broking career in 1976 at Fenchurch Reinsurance Brokers.
