Reinsurance, specialty and wholesale brokerage Ed, part of Corant and the broader BGC Partners group, has announced a key hire in Asia, appointing Christina Ong of Howden as its new Chairman of Ed Asia.
Located in Singapore, Ong will join Ed Asia immediately and take up the Chairman role, bringing decades of experience.
Ong has an established reputation in Asian and global specialty insurance and reinsurance markets, with more than forty years of sector expertise.
During her career, Ong has worked in both Asia and Europe, with her most recent role being Managing Director, Specialty at Howden Insurance Brokers Singapore.
Before Howden, Ong has worked as a including Managing Director at Alexander & Alexander, Asia and also as CEO of KIB Insurance Brokers Singapore.
Her career has seen her work with clients from listed corporations to SMEs, providing them with bespoke and top-tier insurance solutions.
