Specialist reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has announced the addition of Ed Messer as a Partner at the firm.
Messer joins Gallagher Re from Aon, where he most recently served as Head of UK Analytics, based in London.
“We are absolutely delighted that Ed has chosen to join Gallagher Re at this exciting juncture, and welcome him to the team this week,” a spokesperson from Gallagher Re said.
“Ed’s cross-class expertise and leadership experience in analytics and catastrophe management are second to none, and he will be a fantastic asset to the business as we look to execute on our ambitious growth strategy.”
Messer also previously held the role of Head of Catastrophe Management – Global Re Specialty during his time at Aon, before which he spent 5 years as a Catastrophe Modeller for Aon Benfield.
Prior to this, he worked as a Senior Catastrophe Analyst at Tokio Millenium Re and as a Catastrophe Modeller at Jardine Lloyd Thompson.
