Eliot Partnership (EP), a global insurance sector executive search firm, has announced the appointment of Andreas Thiele to the newly created position of Executive Chairman, Asia Pacific and Partner.
Thiele joins EP from AXIS Specialty’s Singapore Branch, which he has headed up since helping to establish the company’s footprint in the region 15 years ago.
He has 40 years of experience in the international reinsurance markets and has held a number of senior management positions with major international broking and reinsurance groups in Continental Europe, New York, London, Sydney and in Singapore.
In his new role, Thiele will be based in EP’s Singapore office, led by Ricarda Simon, Partner, and will work with the firm’s global and regional management team to grow its Asia Pacific footprint, as well as its wider global client base through their four global hubs in London, New York, Singapore and Zurich.
