FM, a commercial property insurer focused on property protection, engineering and loss prevention, will provide eligible clients with an estimated $855 million through its resilience credit program, marking the second consecutive year that the firm is providing a 10% premium offset.
Up from 5% in 2024 and prior years, the 10% premium offset to eligible FM clients follows extraordinary results and historically low losses.
The premium offset will be applied against eligible FM policies with renewals or anniversaries between January 1, 2027 and December 31, 2027.
The programme is a unique benefit made possible through FM’s mutual ownership structure, and supports action on recommendations involving climate hazards and operational exposures.
FM first introduced the resilience credit in 2022 worth $300 million, with an initial focus on addressing climate-related risks, and with $400 million in 2024 for the same perils.
It further expanded the programme in 2025 to include operational risks, and doubled the credit from 5% to 10%, driven by clients’ resilience efforts and historically low losses.
The resilience credit, combined with FM’s engineering expertise and data and analytics capabilities, can help eligible clients implement risk improvement recommendations.
In April, FM also announced a record-setting $1.5 billion membership credit. Together, these programs have helped clients strengthen their operations and build greater resilience, emphasising the company’s belief that the majority of loss is preventable.
Malcolm Roberts, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, FM, commented, “For two years in a row, we’ve been able to provide an enhanced 10% resilience credit—a testament to the work our clients do every day to drive lasting protection.
“When our clients invest in loss prevention and achieve strong results, our mutual model allows us to support further improvements, creating a powerful circle of resilience.”
