Cyber insurance MGA Elpha Secure has announced the appointment of DJ Carlisle as Head of Insurance Distribution.
Carlisle joins Elpha Secure from Tokio Marine HCC, where he most recently served as Cyber Retail Director. He has also previously worked at Marsh and Willis in both Cyber and E&O-based positions.
In the new role, Carlisle will oversee Elpha Secure’s efforts to establish new distribution relationships with broker partners and affinity channels.
He will work closely with Elpha Secure’s Chief Underwriting Officer, Josh MacDonald, who commented, “DJ is a well-regarded and experienced insurance industry expert in cybersecurity with a deep network of industry relationships.
“We are excited to have DJ join our team as we prepare for the next stages of our Company’s growth.”

It has been a busy end of the year for the blooming cyber MGA, having partnered with CyberCube in November to utilise two of its cyber risk analytics tools to attract capacity from providers operating within the ILS space.
In October, Elpha Secure also completed a $20m Series A funding round led by Canapi Ventures, with participation from Stone Point Ventures, AXIS Capital, State Farm Ventures, The Hartford STAG Ventures, Fermat Capital Management, and EOS Venture Partners.
