Embroker, a digital insurance platform simplifying the insurance process for businesses, has announced the appointment of Stephen Easley as Vice President of Underwriting.

In this role, Easley will focus on expanding Embroker’s underwriting capabilities, refining specialty insurance products, and collaborating with the team to enhance coverage structures for businesses.

He brings over 25 years of experience in Specialty and Professional Lines underwriting. Easley joins Embroker from USLI, where he spent the past decade, most recently serving as Vice President and Senior Underwriter, playing a key role in developing its Private Company Management Liability and Excess Professional products.

Prior to that, he spent 10 years at CNA Insurance, where he most recently served as National D&O Practice Leader – Underwriting Director. Earlier in his career, he was a Management Liability Underwriter at AIG.

Andy Lea, Chief Insurance Officer at Embroker, said, “At Embroker, we’re committed to making business insurance smarter and more efficient, and that starts with having the right expertise on our team.

“Stephen’s depth of knowledge and leadership in underwriting makes him a perfect fit to help us refine and expand our specialty insurance offerings. Leveraging his diverse mix of skills and background will support our ongoing mission to deliver the very best protections for our growing customer base.”

Easley commented, “Businesses need insurance solutions that work for them — coverage that’s clear, accessible, and designed for their specific risks.

“Embroker is making that a reality with the merging of traditional underwriting and bleeding-edge technology. I’m eager to bring my experience to the table to continue growing and strengthening our tech-driven underwriting approach to better serve our customers.”
