AXIS Insurance, the specialty insurance arm of Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, has appointed Eric Seyfried as Head of Cyber U.S. Open Market, effective immediately.
In his new role, Seyfried will be tasked with assisting in the design and implementation of the U.S. strategy and direction for the company’s Global Cyber and Technology operation.
In addition, he will also have oversight of underwriting results for Cyber, Technology Errors and Omissions, Media and Miscellaneous Professional Liability products written by the U.S. business.
He will be based in New York and will report to Dan Trueman, Global Head of Cyber and Technology for AXIS Insurance.
Seyfried brings to AXIS Insurance more than two decades of industry experience alongside six years of experience working in the legal sector. He joins AXIS Insurance after spending the last six years at Aon Risk Services as Managing Director and East Region Leader & Broker Office. Previously, he served as a Senior Vice President and National Product Champion of Professional Liability at broker Marsh.
