ERS, a specialised UK motor insurance company and part of IQUW Group, has announced that Tom Cummings will be taking on the role of Head of Counter Fraud.
In his new position, Cummings will lead ERS’ efforts to combat policy and claims fraud, overseeing the strategies and tools employed for this purpose. He will report directly to Declan O’Mahony, ERS’ Head of Claims.
With over a decade of experience in the insurance fraud sector, Cummings is highly respected for his expertise. O’Mahony believes his skills will complement ERS’ ongoing efforts to integrate intelligent automation into their customer processes.
“Tom’s expertise is highly respected in the counter fraud world and his experience in assurance and innovation will complement the work we are doing to embed intelligent automation into our customer journey,” said O’Mahony
O’Mahony adds, “Tom’s leadership will enable us to face future fraud challenges, ensuring we continue to provide a robust defence for our brokers.”
Prior to joining ERS, Cummings served as Process Assurance Lead for Counter Fraud at Hastings Direct, and he worked various fraud-related roles at Admiral Insurance.
Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role at ERS, Cummings highlighted the company’s dedication to investing in machine learning and other tools to enhance fraud detection.
