Everest Insurance, the specialty insurance arm of Bermuda-based reinsurer Everest Re Group, Ltd., has appointed Rick Taute as Vice President (VP), Marketing & Distribution and National Wholesale Distribution Leader for insurance.
In his new role, Taute will be based in the insurance division’s Boston, Massachusetts office.
Most recently, Taute served as Executive Vice President (EVP) of the Lexington National Branch at Lexington Insurance Company (AIG).
In this role, Taute managed a staff of executives and underwriters that were responsible for all products within Lexington’s wholesale portfolio, while also overseeing wholesale broker distribution management for Lexington and AIG.
Recently appointed Chief Commercial Officer at Everest Insurance, Dane Lopes, commented on Taute’s hiring: “Adding someone with Rick’s deep experience in the wholesale space to oversee the significant Everest Insurance® wholesale distribution platform is an important step in servicing the growing wholesale market with streamlined access and differentiated products.
