Reinsurer Everest Re today announced that Megan Watt has joined the group as the new leader of its Insurance Claims Operation.
Megan will oversee all aspects of the Insurance Claims Operations, reporting directly to Jonathan Zaffino, President of the North America Insurance Division.
Jonathan Zaffino welcomed Megan to Everest; “Throughout her accomplished career, Megan has been known as a leader who inspires collaboration among her team and those with whom she engages.
“She is an accomplished and action oriented leader, whose outstanding technical skills and capabilities speak for themselves.”
Megan joins Everest from insurer AIG, where her last role was Head of Complex Casualty Claims for AIG Property & Casualty.
Prior to working for AIG, Megan was Litigation Associate at various firms that specialised in insurance litigation.
She became a partner at the law firm of Bollinger, Ruberry & Garvey, where she handled coverage issues and litigation strategies.
