Bermudian reinsurer Everest Re Group has appointed Ike Barbatsoulis to the role of Reinsurance Claims Officer for its Reinsurance Division.
Barbatsoulis joins from Chubb where he held senior positions across its Global Claims, Services Corporation and Insurance units.
Most recently, he was Senior Vice President for Chubb Global Claims with strategic and operational responsibility for its worldwide legal and professional services vendor network.
“After a very comprehensive search, we are excited to have Ike join our team and lead the Reinsurance Claims unit,” commented James Camerino, Everest Re’s Chief Operating Officer.
Barbatsoulis, who brings nearly 30 years experience to the role, will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the Reinsurance Claims organisation with continued focus on customer service, increased operational efficiencies, and advanced analytical capabilities.
“He brings a tremendous amount of leadership, expertise and experience and will be instrumental in leading our claims organization to deliver best in class service to our clients and brokers,” added Camerino.
