Richard Jones is set to join Willis Re, a reinsurance advisory and broking joint venture between Bain Capital (BCIS) and WTW, from Gallagher Re in October 2026, subject to all regulatory approvals, to lead the reinsurance broker’s Asia operations from Singapore.
Jones is a seasoned and respected practitioners in the region, and brings almost four decades of industry experience to Willis Re, and is tasked with leading the buildout of the company’s Singapore operations, playing a key role in the firm’s efforts to establish itself in the region.
During his career, Jones has held numerous senior leadership roles with a strong focus on the Asia market, and has extensive experience in structuring complex risk solutions and building long-standing client relationships.
Most recently, Jones worked at reinsurance broker Gallagher Re as Chairman of APAC, and previously served as CEO of Asia Reinsurance Solutions at broking group Aon. Prior to Aon, he spent more than three decades with Guy Carpenter, Marsh’s reinsurance broking arm, in roles including CEO, Singapore and Chairman of Asia Pacific.
