Florida Insurance and Reinsurance Company (Florida Re), a property and casualty re/insurer serving commercial clients across Florida, has appointed Jeremy Baczkiewicz as its new Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO).
Baczkiewicz brings over 21 years of experience in underwriting management and strategic operations within the insurance and reinsurance sectors to Florida Re.
In his new role, he will oversee all aspects of the firm’s underwriting functions, including the development and implementation of underwriting strategies.
Baczkiewicz’s leadership will be critical as Florida Re navigates the complexities of the reinsurance market while striving to deliver exceptional value to its clients and stakeholders.
This appointment underscores Florida Re’s commitment to enhancing its market presence and ensuring long-term stability and success.
Prior to joining the company, Baczkiewicz held several senior roles at Slide, where he was instrumental in developing robust underwriting frameworks that significantly enhanced operational efficiencies and profitability.
He possesses extensive expertise in building programmes and underwriting departments, coupled with a proven track record in leading high-performing teams.
