The Fortegra Group, a global specialty insurer and part of DB Insurance Co., Ltd., has appointed Anthony Katz as Senior Vice President (SVP), Reserving.
In his new role, Katz will lead Fortegra’s team of professional actuaries, and is responsible for reserving, credit insurance, statistical reporting, and key initiatives, including IFRS 17.
He has over three decades of industry experience across reserving, pricing, and actuarial transformation, most recently serving as an independent consulting actuary advising on various actuarial disciplines/
In the past, Katz has held senior leadership roles at ToaRe, Everest Re, Arch Insurance, Ernst & Young, and ACE.
Throughout his career, Katz has been recognised for modernising actuarial operations, including automating reserving processes, deploying business intelligence tools across insurance and reinsurance platforms, and leading large-scale actuarial transformation initiatives.
